Montblanc Timewalker Voyager UTC

I was flipping thru a magazine when I saw this ad....

Bad.... my weakness for the brand and complication.....

It is the Montblanc Timewalker Voyager UTC Special Edition. Research showed more models....

The difference between the two Special Edition model is the dial colour. Both watches are automatic watches with GMT and date complications.

I like... love the blue highlight (for GMT or UTC markings) on the silver dial. Standard to the Timewalker series, 42mm stainless steel case, an all dial design, 3 ATM water resistant rating and the double dome sapphire crystal. The crown is non screw down. :)

The interesting aspect of the watch? The day and night indication. Instead of the more common 6 to 6 division, Montblanc opted for a 7 to 7 division. Perhaps more accurate?

The division of the day and night is more evident on the reference 109334. Home time is indicated on the inner 12 hour marker while the UTC is shown on the 24 hour marker on the flange.

On doing more research into the model, I found out that the watch is offered in non Special Edition series. There are 3 models in the collection.

Reference 109135. The difference (from what I can see) is the highlights are in red. The Special Edition watches have blue highlights while the no special edition is model dependent.

Reference 109137. I like the combination red and orange highlights. This model features an anthracite dial with rhodium markers (well all the models feature the rhodium markers and rhodium coated hands).

Reference 109136. This is silver dial (matte) with red gold plated markers and hands.

I am actually tempted by the reference 109137.

I like the matching orange stitching on the strap.

The watches retails for between USD 3,600 to USD 4,000, model dependent.
