Farr and Swit...

I found out about this micro brand from my Instagram account and I have to say they are pretty interesting with a very interesting offering. The brand I am talking about is the American watch brand Farr + Swit.

The brand takes its name from the names of the 3 founders, Adam FARRand Hodge, ANDrew Paetzold and Zach SWITalski. How is that for cool....

This is their story...

DEFINE YOUR TIME

At Farr + Swit, we know that time is more than just a number. We measure time not by the hands on our watch, but the moments we make. That’s why we aim to make quality watches that do more than just track your steps or connect to your smart phone. We believe that a quality watch doesn’t need to be updated or re-charged. The true mark of a fine timepiece is one that lets you define and capture the time that matters most to you.

WHO WE ARE

We are watch guys. We love the way that a quality watch has a way of capturing and collecting the most memorable moments in our life. And for us, most of those moments coincide with our love of travel. Farr + Swit was formed out of our desire to create quality time pieces that can serve as memento of the many adventures of life – whether it’s pitching investors in the boardroom or enjoying a sunset and scotch on the beach.

Our flagship watch, the Seaplane Automatic, was born out of our passion for first-rate craftsmanship that spans generations. Made with only the highest quality materials and a meticulous eye for design, the Seaplane Automatic features Swiss workhorse automatic movements and is assembled in the USA.

The watch is currently available on a limited release of 500.

And on to their offering, the Seaplane Automatic. The watch comes in two guises, the Seaplane Automatic Midnight Landing PVD Black and the Seaplane Automatic Day Trip Stainless Steel.

The watches are basically the same watch but with different case finish.

I like the little details that you find on the dial...

The Seaplane at the 6 o'clock position...

And the night sky (with stars) on the upper half of the dial and the waves of the sea on the lower half of the dial..

The lume of the dial and bezel is what sets the watch apart from other watches. Farr + Swit use BGW9 (Grade A EF Super Lumonova) on the markers, hands and bezel. Nice...

The watches are powered by the Selita SW 200-1 movement which is nice touch.

And the watches all comes in Farr + Swit 5L Dry Bag.
