Tank Watch

Remember my post, Bronzo in Action?

Well at the end there was a picture of the Governator wearing a watch that I could not identify. Well, a reader did and thumbs up to Art Top for the info and link.

Here is the watch in question (or a variation of the watch).

Photographs: shamelessly borrowed from the Internet

The Governator with the watch in what I guess is the M47 tank. That is one huge watch.

Evidently the watch is based on the instrument on the M47 tank that the Governator use to drive when he was in the military service in Austria in the 60s. The watch retails for about USD 1,000 and the proceeds goes to a charity knows as the After School All Stars. Cool.

Even more watch photography...

Tried to do some macro shots for the forum I am a member off. I think it came out pretty well.

The next few shots is to see and test the iPhone and also my capabilities. Don't think it turn out well....

The Omega Seamaster 300.

The Omega X-33 Gen 1.

The Omega Seamaster 300 Chrono.

Will need to practice with the iPhone. I am sure it is a capable tool. :)

Bronzo in action

Manage to capture a couple of still shots of the Bronzo in action. Yes, the Panerai PAM00382 Luminor 1950 Submersible 3 Days Automatic 47 mm Bronze as seen in the movie Expendables II.

The watch.

Photograph: Panerai

So far I believe the watch has been seen on the wrist of Stallone, Statham, Ludgren and Crews. Don't know who else is wearing the watch.

Some still shots from the trailers...

On Stallone.

You can see it on Statham's wrist.

So the question, what was on Arnold's wrist. You guess is as good as mine...

Watch photography

Still learning and experimenting. Here are the latest attempt....

Casio G-Shock Mini...

Lume shot, an old favourite

Still love the lume shot of this watch, the Omega SM300 homage.

Seiko Hunting...

I saw this Seiko watch on-line and was interested in the watch. So off I went to my local watch shop to see if he had one or could find one. The watch I was looking for is the Seiko SNM037.

Photograph: shamelessly borrowed from the Internet.

I like the fact that it has the compass rose and is a diver watch. It is called or rather known as the Land Monster. Nice. There is a black dial version, reference SNM035. Sadly he did not have one, but will look out for one and check with Seiko if they have it.

Since I was there, my friendly watch guy tempted me with these...

Sigh.....

This was an interesting option. It is known as the Seiko FF. This version, reference SNZH59 has a gray gun metal coating. And that includes the metal bracelet. Something to think about....
