The ARRAW Marine's iconic design is instantly recognizable thanks to its four RJ Bumpers. These rubber bumpers punctuate the models’ 42 mm or 45 mm satin-brushed cases, which are available in collectors’ choice of 18 karat red gold, titanium, two-tone red gold and titanium, or black ceramic. The rubber motif carries through to the coordinated white or black rubber accents on the screw-down crown and push buttons.

The RJ Bumpers also draw the eye inward to admire the ARRAW Marine’s sun-brushed, galvanized, and gradient-painted dial. Transparent lacquer emphasizes each dial’s dimensional effect, encased within a domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal.

Bold detailing brings each element of the dial into sharp focus, from the hands to the chronograph subdials, which include a small seconds counter at 3 o'clock, 30 minutes counter at 9 o'clock, and 12 hours counter and date window at 6 o’clock. Indexes, numerals, counters, and hands are uniformly plated in red gold or rhodium-plated, then finished with a satin-brushed texture and enhanced with white SuperLuminova. The resulting visual impression is both cohesive and highly legible.

The bezels of select ARRAW Marine timepieces have been set with round brilliant or baguette cut diamonds, while the surfaces of a few special models have been fully paved with diamonds, from the bezel to the case. The sparkling diamond set ARRAW Marine models feature anywhere from 1.5 total carats in diamond weight to over 5 carats total.

RJ has balanced striking form with impressive functionality in the ARRAW Marine. The self-winding chronograph offers up to 42 hours of power reserve. A screw-down crown protects the movement from the elements, reinforcing the water-resistance of the ARRAW Marine up to 330 feet. RJ has also equipped the ARRAW Marine with a clever interchangeable ARRAW rubber strap. Users can easily swap out other RJ strap colors and styles as they please, with no tools required.

The new Star Twist collection also marks a milestone for RJ as the brand’s first ladies’ collection. The Star Twist’s patented spinning bezels offer a unique “spin” on high horology for the modern woman. When in motion, the whirling gem-set bezels (adorned with sapphires, amethysts, or topaz) create a mesmerizing whirl of color that perfectly accentuates the depth and hue of the Star Twist’s painted dials.

The dial designs of these 39 mm models depict four real, distinct deep space entities: Titanium Blue Spiral Galaxy, Titanium Purple Spiral Galaxy, Titanium Glowing Eye Nebula, and Gold Blue Magellanic Cloud. Each Star Twist colorway is limited to only 100 pieces. In a world first, RJ has rendered these galaxies, nebulas, and clouds in four layers of paint and transparent coating over mother-of-pearl. RJ has captured the essence of summer life in the Greek isles in a 10-piece limited edition series from the ARRAW Marine collection. These timepieces were inspired by the most iconic symbols of Mykonos, from the blue of the Aegean Sea to the Greek windmills and the mighty rocks that form the Cyclades island.

Each ARRAW Marine Mykonos special edition case, crafted in grade 5 titanium, comes adorned with the signature rubber RJ Bumpers™ that define the ARRAW collection. The unique composite bezel combines sand with a high-performance resin created in-house by RJ. The unique sand-infused bezel is secured to the case with a metal grid whose shape alludes to the iconic windmills of Mykonos.

Many stages of dial treatment are required to impart the ARRAW Marine Mykonos with its lustrous Aegean blue effect, first sun-brushed, then galvanized, gradient-painted and then coated with a transparent lacquer. This hue refers both to the color of the sea as well as the legendary blue of Mykonos. The chronograph counters have been rhodium-plated to coordinate with the arrow-shaped, satin-finished hands, so that the limited-editions remain faithful to the ARRAW Marine family.

The RJ-2040 self-winding chronograph movement displays a 30-minute counter at 9 o’clock, a 12-hour counter with a date aperture at 6 o’clock, and a small seconds counter at 3 o’clock.  The transparent sapphire crystal case back allows a fascinating look at the oscillating weight, designed to reference the iconic windmills of Mykonos.

The ARRAW Marine Mykonos special edition comes with a blue alligator strap that has been manually patinated to project the same casual ease that characterizes life in the Greek isles. The underside of the strap has been reinforced with a rubber insert for durability and comfort. The special edition timepiece also comes with a black rubber bracelet, ideal for swimming or water sports. Changing out the strap is easily accomplished thanks to the interchangeable strap system. This hallmark of the ARRAW collection allows the strap to be released and an alternate strap installed with a simple ‘click’.

RJ ARRAW 6919

On July 20, 1969, the Apollo 11 spacecraft successfully landed on the moon and Neil Armstrong took “one small step for man” and “one giant leap for mankind.” Fifty years later, Swiss watchmaker RJ pays tribute to the Apollo 11 astronauts who first walked on the lunar surface with a new DNA concept tribute timepiece. The RJ ARRAW 6919 is made with authentic material sourced from the original Apollo 11 spacecraft and featuring a patented Moon movement. From the moon to the wrist, the RJ ARRAW will inspire wonder for anyone who is fascinated by science, mechanics, and the vast universe of space.

Each RJ ARRAW 6919 watch comes with an authenticity certificate by the Association of Space Explorers. The spacecraft material is encased within a super light, high-performance acrylic composite, created specifically for the ARRAW 6919, which forms the timepiece’s bezel. Marco Tedeschi, CEO and Creative Director, looked to the Apollo 11 command module for design inspiration, creating a metal grid that would fasten the acrylic composite bezel to the case securely without covering the historic spacecraft DNA it preserves and displays.

At 12 o’clock, the patented RJ Moon Phase mechanism displays a three-dimensional moon rotating 360° during a complete cycle of 29.5 days. The hour and minute indications at the center of the movement also indicate the location of the earth. All settings (time, moon indication, and date) are manipulated via the crown. The date set at 3 o'clock can be read with +4/–4 when the moon is between the gibbous moon and the first crescent.

The ARRAW 6919 is available in three different materials: polished and satin-brushed grade 5 titanium, ceramic and 5N+ red gold, and each variation offers water-resistance up to 100 meters or 330 feet. Each colorway is limited to only 100 pieces.

The ARRAW 6919 is equipped with a waterproof polyamide strap engraved with linear designs that recall the pattern made in the powdery lunar surface by Armstrong’s space suit when he first stepped onto the moon. The rugged ARRAW strap system is also interchangeable and allows the strap to be released with a simple ‘click’ by pushing simultaneously on the two lug screws. The clasp and deployment buckle are just as easily removed with the push of a lever, no tools required.
