Minuteman Parker Chronograph Wristwatch

Minuteman Watches today announced reinforcements in its campaign to raise money for Homes for Our Troops – the Minuteman Parker Chronograph Wristwatch.

The Parker Chronograph is named after Captain John Parker. Parker commanded the Lexington Patriot colonial militia at the Battle of Lexington on April 19, 1775. The watch features a variety of different color options for its face (including the beautiful “panda” black-and-white face) and is hand-made in the USA by Minuteman Watch Co.

The Illinois-based watch manufacturer recently selected Homes For Our Troops to be its 2019 nonprofit partner. That means that a portion of all sales of Minuteman watches for this year (including the new Parker) will go to help Homes For Our Troops build adaptive homes for severely injured post 9/11 veterans.

The company hopes to raise $10K for the charity through sales of its 2019 watches.

“Helping our veterans is one of the core principles of our company,” says Minuteman Watches owner Thomas Carey. “We are honored to be able to bring these fine warriors a little bit closer to owning their own homes with each watch we sell this year.”

The Minuteman Parker brushed watches are presale priced at $399, and the DLC watches are presale priced at $419. Following the company’s presale launch, the price of the brushed watch will increase to $569, and the DLC to $599.

Team Rubicon Minuteman A11

It looks like the people at Minuteman Watches have released a new model in their A11 collection. The watch is the Team Rubicon/ Minuteman A11 watch.

The Team Rubicon / Minuteman A11 is based on the US Military WWII A11. Rather than attempt to totally copy this iconic design, we've chosen to offer an updated version of this iconic watch. These watches will be assembled in Fountain Hills Arizona USA by FTS for our Minuteman brand. Each watch features a quartz movement that is carefully assembled by hand in the USA. The movements have both domestic and imported parts and are in our view the most American quartz movements available. 

Part of the proceeds from each Team Rubicon / Minuteman watch sold  will go to Team Rubicon to help in their disaster relief and disaster recovery efforts. We will be building just one batch of these special watches.

Team Rubicon Minuteman A11

Minuteman A11 watch

Minuteman Watch Company has released its take on the iconic WWII A11 military watch. 

The A11 watches were originally produced by Elgin, Waltham and Bulova. The A11 saw service not only with the American military but also with the RAF (Royal Air Force), RCAF (Royal Canadian Air Force) and even the Soviet Air Force. How cool is that.

Minuteman A11 has been updated and these are the specifications:

• Stainless Steel case.
• Heavy duty 2pc nylon strap.
• Sapphire crystal.
• 38mm width without crown.
• 100 meter water resistant.
• Ameriquartz 7122 quartz movement.
• Luminous hands and dial.

Interesting to note that Minuteman have updated the watch in terms of size, with the original coming in at 32mm and case material. The original watch case were either nickel or silver. Minuteman have also added the day and date complication to the watch.

The other interesting aspect of the watch is the movement used. The watches will be powered by the Ameriquartz movement. These movement is new to the market and is produced in Arizona by FTS USA. I will indeed talk more about FTS USA in a future post. 

The watches currently retail for USD189 and as with all Minuteman watches, part of the proceeds with go to the Homes For Our Troops charity.

Minuteman Watch new Independence series

The American watch brand Minuteman Watch Co. is proud to announce its new Independence series of wrist watches. This new series of watches was created in a response to requests for a smaller sized watch that would fit a wider range of wrists at a lower price point.

Chris Wiegand from Wiegand Custom Watch, LLC. designed the watch for Minuteman Watch Co. brand. Most will recognize Chris as being the owner of the watch brand Lum-Tec. In addition to designing the watch Wiegand Custom Watch, LLC will also be building the watch in their Mentor Ohio facility for Minuteman Watch Co.

25% of the profit from Minuteman Watch Co's net annual sales of  Minuteman products goes to charities assisting veterans & their Families. For 2016 that charity will be Fisher House.
