Rolex spotted...

I have always liked the 3 guys from Top Gear (ex), currently The Grand Tour and I do like other shows and documentaries with them as the host. Recently I was watching Richard Hammond's Big. It is his new documentary on Discovery. It is a pretty cool documentary. 

Anyway...spotted this on the episode on US Air Force Super Plane (Episode 2 if I am not mistaken). I don't think I have seen Hamster wearing this before, so it must be new.

It is the Rolex GMT-Master II reference 116710LN. Looks like the Hamster is adding to his collection of Rolex watches. Cool....

Watch spotting....

Fans of The Grand Tour would have spotted a new watch in their latest season episode 1 released yesterday. 

We all know that at least 2 of the guys in The Grand Tour collects watches. They are James May and Richard Hammond. James is known to have every watch he bought and his collection is vast. As for Richard, he is normally spotted with a Rolex Submariner or SeaDweller on the show and a Tissot when he goes on one of the specials.

Here is the SeaDweller that Richard wore when he crashed the Rimac in last season. Speaks lots about Rolex watches...

The watch survived this crash. Evidently they found the watch in the car after the fire was put out. Talk about tough.

In the latest episode of The Grand Tour, Richard was spotted wearing this watch. I am pretty sure he has not worn this watch before in any of his shows (that I have seen).

It looks like a Coke. But for sure it is the 5 digit reference GMT Master II.

Richard Hammond...

I was watching one of my favourite shows when I spotted this watch on the wrist of one of the presenter of Top Gear, Richard Hammond. This is from their Middle East Special. 

You can see that the watch is an Oris, but I am not very sure of the model...

After closer inspection, I believe the watch is the Oris Williams F1 Team Day Date PVD watch. The reference is 635 7560 4754 RS. The interesting aspect of the watch is that there seems to be two versions of the watch.  One with the 'Williams' on the dial, just below the Oris name and the other just says 'Automatic'. 

The one with 'automatic'. This is the one that Richard Hammond wears.

James May...

One of my favourite shows on TV is Top Gear, which sadly I don't get either in Taiwan or Malaysia (anybody listening?). One of the presenters, James May also has his own show which I like. It is James May Toy Story. On his latest show, James May Toy Story, The Motorcycle Diary, in which he 'builds' a motorcycle out of that age old toy, Meccano. He subsequently races the motorcycle on the Isle of Man TT. How cool is that....

Anyway, spotted the watch he wore on the show and while riding the motorcycle...

A Rolex Milgauss perhaps? 

Evidently he was also spotted wearing the watch on Top Gear (series 17 Episode 6). Cool....

Really, Panerai on Top Gear? Who could it be?

Now if only we could identify the model....

Jeremy Clarkson new watch....

Season 19 of Top Gear has just started and low and behold, a new watch on the wrist of Jeremy Clarkson? Looks like he has an IWC on wrist.....

Perhaps the IWC reference 3880, Pilot's Watch Chronograph Top Gun?

James May on watches

An interesting article on watches by one of the presenters of Top Gear. Top Gear being one of my all time favourite TV Show. It is cool to see and note that at least one of them is a WIS. But in saying that, Richard Hammond has been spotted wearing a number of watches from Omega to Rolex and even TAG Heuer. As for Jeremy Clarkson, he is an Omega man as I have only seen him spotting an Omega. As for James May, he has been spotted wearing Rado and even Omega.
