Bracelet adjustment Casio GMW-B5000D-1

This is one of the hottest Casio models in recent history. It is the Casio G-Shock model GMW-B5000D-1. It is a full metal G-Shock and comes in the DW-5000/ DW-5600 guise. I like the watch.

The Casio G-Shock GMW-B5000D-1.

It comes with a full metal stainless steel bracelet. I have to say that it is a very well made bracelet.

The clasp. Again well made and very nice.

To resize, first disconnect the bracelet from the clasp.

The spring bar connecting the bracelet to the clasp. Don't lose it.

As you can see, there are no indications on how to remove the links. It is very easy to remove. The links are held together by tiny spring bars. It makes adjustments easy.

The links disconnected.

The tiny spring bar holding the links together.

The spring bar sits in the center link.

Adjustment all done. It was fast and easy. Just be careful not to lose any of the tiny spring bars.

  1. Can you please advise where to pick up extra springbars for the bracelet links

  2. The small center-link spring bars were not that easy to reattach. And this bracelet comes HUGE. So it should be advised that someone take from both ends of the clasp. Removing links from the opposite side from your guide involves removing center-link spring bars directly. Also, the clasp itself offers an easy means of micro-adjustment. I had to adjust the clasp to the smallest holes and remove five links. That's far too large. I have 7" wrists. We're paying for that extra bracelet and essentially subsidizing one or two giants.
