The turtle is back..

No, I am not talking about TMNT. :) I am talking about the Seiko 6306/6309 Diver watch AKA the Turtle. Yes, Seiko have decided to reissue or modernize the 6306/6309. The original 6306/6309 were issued in 1976 and stopped in 1988. Well, the 6306 was and the 6309 stopped in 1981.

I had the original turtle but have since sold it.

Anyway, fast forward to 2016 and Seiko will reissue the turtle and there will be 4 models. Well, 6 models, but we will get to that soon. The models:

From my understanding, these will be available from January 2016. Sadly Seiko Taiwan will only bring in 2 models.

SRP775.

SRP777.

Basic specifications:

4R36 movement, hacking and hand wind capable
44.3mm diameter (original 45mm)
1.66mm thick
20 ATM WR (original 15ATM)
Mineral crystal

and my favorite, lug holes.

There are suppose to be 2 more models to released later in the year (rumor is May 2016). The models will have coloured hands that matches the bezel insert.
