The countdown begins...

A few more hours to the start of SIHH 2014. The exhibition will run from the 20th to the 24th of January. It is also the first of many watch exhibitions and most importantly, what is new in 2014.

Panerai has already updated their site, and it looks like there will be some new chronographs, in the 1940 case. They (Panerai) have already gave us a sneak peak with the PAM00557 Panerai Luminor 1950 Left-Handed 3 Days 47mm watch. I am sure there will be others...

More information and teaser...

I think it will be the year of the Aquatimer over at IWC. They have already shown us their new IWC Aquatimer (which I like a lot). New design, new case, new material and internal rotating bezel...

The three pre-SIHH pieces. From left to right:

IWC Aquatimer Chronograph "Expedition Charles Darwin", IWC Aquatimer 2000 and IWC Aquatimer Chronograph Edition "Galapagos Islands".

The IWC Aquatimer 2000, reference IW358002. Titanium case, water resistant to 2,000M, features the new IWC Bracelet Quick Change System and in-house movement Caliber 80110.

The other watch I like is the IWC Aquatimer Chronograph "Expedition Charles Darwin". The first IWC to use bronze as the case material. Water resistant to 30ATM and powered by IWC in-house caliber 89365. It is a limited edition piece that I believe will fly off the shelves.

Well, for the rest, we will just have to wait and see.
