Greenland...

I can't imagine running into this watch, the real Greenland watch. Well not really the real one but the reissue...

The Longines Expeditions Polaires Francaises-Missions Paul-Emile Victor, reference L2.732.4.76.2. I always thought the watch was sold out long ago as it was issued in 2010/2011(?). Anyway it is a beautiful watch and I like it.

You can read more about the watch here:

The original watch....

The man himself, Paul-Emile Victor. He does represent what I always think explorers of old would look like, macho and smoking a pipe...

Anyway, the watch....

Wrapped in plastic. This is an early release, based on the watch serial number. It is in the hundreds. I have seen the watch serial number reach 1,000 plus.

The reissue comes with a date complication. While it would be nice if the date is not there, but I guess it makes it more current (?).

Love the silver dial with blue hands.

With another reissue...

Minus the plastic wrap.

Truly an awesome looking watch.

The watch comes with either a black leather strap or a brown alligator skin strap. This one comes with the black leather strap.

Closer view of the watch.

The crown. Nice size. Much better than the Longines W.W.W. reissue (which I traded.... )

The case back. It is a snap back case back, which explains the WR of only 3 ATM.

Closer view of the case back. Lots of writing....

I like this watch, much like the Longines Legend Diver, a nice reissue, which made it all much harder to walk away......
