From the Earth to the Moon


Tomorrow, 20th. July 2009, marks the 40th. Anniversary of the first moon landing. I thought it would be interesting to post the following links from the Omega site as I found it very interesting. There is also the speech given by the late President Kennedy.

This is a limited edition watch (7,969 pieces) produced to commemorate the 40th. Anniversary of the first moon landing and the first watch on the moon. The small second counter at the 9 o'clock position features a medallion. the medallion features an adaption of the Apollo 11's mission patch. On the dial, the legend 02:56 GMT, the exact time Neil Armstrong made his one small leap. The case back is decorated with the Apollo 11 Eagle mission patch.
