Some updates on the Seiko 7A38 yellow dial 'Vulcan' watch. New pictures have appeared on the MWR forum. It is interesting as these watches (yes, 2 of them) were purchased off Anchor Supplies (a noted MOD surplus supplier). These watches were purchased some 18 years ago and one of them is in mint condition. Looks like there are some possibility of a MOD link, but the Vulcan link seems to be still elusive.
