I have decided to fit a leather strap on my Breitling Aerospace. I have to say that it does look different and that the watch is actually very light. The reason I decided to change the bracelet to a strap is because while the bracelet is a nice fit (it does have the expandable section in the bracelet) but I do not want to use the bracelet expansion if I don't have to.
I ordered extra links from the Breitling Service Center here and was told that it would take a month to get it. I got a call yesterday and went today to pick it up. Since I was there, I decided to have the technician there fit it for me. To cut the story short and add to my disappointment (from the last service), there were issues.
As such I have to wait another month before I can get the links. Imagine a month to get some links.
Based on my experience with Breitling and other service centers, there will be some long term impact on my decisions on future purchases. I will write about my experience here and with other service centers and what is the impact to me and my future purchases in another blog entry. For now, here is the Breitling Aerospace with the leather strap.
I have to say that I like the look. I am thinking of getting another strap which my friendly neighbourhood watch guy have that has a hint of blue.
The strap is a locally sourced strap. It is a temporary measure while I wait for the links. Sigh!!!!!
