An interesting watch

I was fortunate enough today to be able to view some of the watches in a friends collection. His collection is unique as he has access to a number of brand and able to get them at a good price. He is also an enabler to me by introducing watches to me.

Anyway, this watch caught my eye. It is one that he likes and will never sell. It is an Eterna watch. The reference number of the watch: 8403.47 and it has the following functions: hours, minutes, seconds, day, date and month. It is a small watch at 34 mm. It is from the Eterna-Matic 1948 collection.

So what is the reason he does not want to sell the watch? Well here is a photograph of the watch.

The case back.

So, do you see the reason he will not sell the watch?

Here is a photograph of another Eterna watch, similar to my friend's watch.

Do you see it yet?

Here is a close-up of the dial to help you.

Do you see it? I don't think there are that many watches with two 8 o'clock markers, one at the 6 o'clock position and the other at the 8 o'clock position. Before we go further, the watch is 100% original and so is the dial. So looks like sometimes, some mistakes do slip through.
