Watch Shopping in Malaysia Part 5

Yet another watch shopping entry. This time it is on a new mall. This mall is located in a suburban residential area in the heart of Petaling Jaya. Petaling Jaya is a city about 20 minutes from the capital Kuala Lumpur.

The mall is called Tropicana Mall. It is not a big mall, but there are a number of interesting shops in the mall. Anyway, our focus are the watch shops. On the ground floor or 1st. Floor to some, we find the watch shop called Watch Zone. They are located in a number of malls in and around Kuala Lumpur. This shop carries the following brands (but not limited to): Chronotech, Nautica, Guess and Victorinox. In fact I have a Nautica that I got from Watch Zone (not this one).

One floor up and we find City Chain. They too are located in most malls. They offer the usual fare of fashion brands and their 'own' house brand. The brands you can find here are Solvil et Titus, Police, K-Swiss, Seiko, Casio, Pronto, Fossil, French Connection (FCUK), Smash, Cyma, Ellesse, Alba, Times and ODM.

The most interesting shop in the mall is the Red Army Watches. From the name itself, we can establish that they specialised in 'Red' watches aka Russian made watches. They are not limited to Russian made watches though. There will be a more in-depth review of Red Army Watches in another blog entry. For now, the brands they carry includes Buran, Poljot, Aviator, Stumanskie, Alexander Shorokhoff, Junkers, Lip (French), Soyuz and Nauticfish.

On the B1 level, we find Watches of Switzerland. They are also located in a number of malls and provides repair and servicing of watches.

The last shop in the mall is Classic Timepieces. They are a small shop and carry the following brands; Seiko, Orient, BUM, Lumi-nox, Elle, Arbutus, Casio, Jaguar and Alba.
