Pinion Watch Company

Exciting times indeed for the UK. Launching at the Salon QP 2013 is a new home grown brand from South Oxfordshire, England is the Pinion Watch Company. Pinion is a new watch company formed in 2013 by watch aficionado Piers Berry.

Pinion's vision is to produce authentically English designed and assembled watches based on the following philosophy: Design simplicity, high legibility and robustness.

The brand name comes from the very gear wheel that sits in the heart of a watch movement and drives the hands of a watch.

Pinion will be launching its first watch in the Axis. The Pinion Axis collection is based on a single design but will be presented in a number of different treatments and materials. The watch will be built from a combination of British and Swiss bespoke made parts and each and every watch will be assembled and tested in England.

The watch is expected to come in at 42mm in diameter and will be powered by an ETA automatic movement. The watch will be water resistant to 10 ATM and will be fitted with a domed sapphire crystal. The watches will offer the following complications: hours, minutes, seconds and date. The watch is expected to retail around USD 3,240.

Customers will be able to order the watches from pinionwatches.com from November 2013 with initial delivery expected in early 2014.

The watch. I like the case back.
