EPOS Big Pilot Watch

This year EPOS will be issuing 2 watches under the Big Pilot Series. There will be the Big Pilot Watch Automatic, reference 3397 and the Big Pilot Watch Chronograph Automatic, reference 3398. These watches are expected to retail below USD 2,000.

A bit about EPOS. EPOS had its origins in 1925 when James Aubert formed the company. James Aubert was an engineer who worked with movement manufacturers Valjoux and Landeron. However, the company only really took off in the early 80s.

The Big Pilot Watch Automatic reference 3397

Case: stainless steel, diameter 43 mm, height 10.9 mm, display back
Crystal: sapphire
Movement: Valjoux 2824/2, signed EPOS
Water resistance: 10 ATM
Functions: Hours, minutes and seconds, hour index are Luminous

The Big Pilot Watch Chronograph Automatic reference 3398

Case: stainless steel, diameter 43 mm, height 14.5 mm, display back
Crystal: sapphire
Movement: Valjoux 7750, signed EPOS
Water resistance: 10 ATM

Both watches are available with silver dial, orange hands and hour markers.

I find the watches are nice and maybe makes a cheaper (but not inferior) replacement to a more popular brand of pilot watches.
