Magrette Regattare Bronze

Magrette will be releasing their new watch called the Regattare Bronze soon. Yes, the watch will feature a solid bronze case, made of CuSn8, alloying copper and pure tin. This makes the case extremely resistant to corrosion.

The other effect (positive, I am sure) is that the solid bronze (brushed) case will patina rather quickly.  This will add depth of character to the case as well as giving it a truly vintage look when the antique aging takes full effect.

The watch will also feature a matching chocolate brown dial with modern Regattare numerals. By doing so, Magrette will preserve their minimalist trademark look and feel. Also the watch will feature the New Zealand Kauri tree on the display back.

This timepiece will be a Limited Edition of 1000 pieces worldwide. It is expected to retail at USD 385.

Basic specifications:
Functions: hours and minutes
Case: Bronze
Movement: Miyota 21 jewels automatic movement
Crystal: sapphire (AR Coating inside)
Water resistant: 5 ATM

I have to say that the watch does look interesting.
