Fate...

Sigh...

Remember this post?

Remember this quote...

'...I doubt I will be adding any more monsters to the collection. I know that Seiko has released the new Seiko Monster Prospex, but at the moment, they don't sing to me. Maybe if Seiko released an Orange Prospex Monster.....'

Well, a good friend is currently in Japan for a working holiday when he sent me this photograph...

Yes, Seiko has just (last month) released these two watches. The Black and Orange Prospex Monsters.

Seiko SBDC023 Orange Prospex Monster.

Seiko SBDC025 Black Prospex Monster.

This is suppose to be the 3rd Generation Monster. Not sure if these will replace the SRP307/309 or will they be produced concurrently. So what changed?

The new SDBC02X models will feature the 6R15 automatic movement. The movement will feature hand wind and hacking capabilities and offer a longer power reserve as compared to the 4R36. The shark tooth markers have been replaced with a trapezoidal marker and the day complication has been removed. Oh, yes... there is now a cyclops on the the crystal (still hardlex) over the date window.

So will I be getting one? Sigh..... Lets wait and see....
