Seiko 5 Anniversary watches

I was having lunch near my friendly neighbourhood watch guy, so I decided to pop over to see what is happening there. Interesting to say the least. He showed me the Seiko 5 50th Anniversary watches (well part of the collection).

The first watch is the SRP415J1. I believe this is the non limited edition version of the SARZ049 (LE of 500 pieces). The difference (that I can see) is the sweep seconds hand. It is red on the SRP415J1 and polished on the SARZ049.

The watch is made in Japan and features the Seiko caliber 4R36, hand wind capable and hacking. Looks like Seiko 5 is moving up the food chain.

Celebrating 100 years of Seiko watchmaking. Hope Seiko is not starting to milk its customers with loads and loads of LE watches....

The second watch is the reference SRP 417J1. This has the black PVD/ ION coating. I like this watch....

Again the tags reminding you of how 'special' these watches are.....

The watches again. Forgot to take pictures of the case back. Both watches have display backs and both feature the Seiko 5 crest with 1963-2013 on the crystal. Nice.

The watches retails starting at NTD10,000....
