I got this booklet during the launch of the Panerai Luminor Arktos. This booklet is about Mike Horn and The Arktos Expedition. The Arktos Expedition is his expedition to traverse the globe at the level of the Arctic Circle: 20,000 km to cross of which 10,000 km in Siberia and 5,000 km on icy waters between Greenland and Russia. The expedition started on 4th. August 2002 and ended 21st. October 2004, 2 years later.
The booklet is 12 pages (not including the covers) and measures 30.5 x 46.5 cm. It is a big booklet. There are many photographs in the book showing what Mike Horn had to endure during the expedition. There is also a shot of his watch, which is not the Panerai Luminor Arktos. The Panerai Luminor Arktos is a special edition watch (500 pieces) that was issued to commemorate the expedition. It has a special design case that could withstand the effects of magnetic fields which are particularly intense near the North Pole.
